Swordfish and Bell Peppers Quiche: I'm - almost - back!
Hello!
I know, I know, it has been 7 months I didn't post anything on the blog, sorry... but at the beginning of March my son, the dinosaur, decided it was time to pop up and I have been busy (ah, let's call it busy) with him. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, he is a good boy, but - oh boy! - nobody can understand what it means having a child abroad, with no help form relatives and a husband with a very demanding job, unless you are in the same situation :-) Or maybe it's just me that was definitely not organized. Well, the point is that for months I haven't cooked at all, leaving the kitchen in the hands of my husband (meaning we got a lot of take-away food) and only recently I finally got the chance to experiment something new!
Swordfish and Bel Peppers QuicheSince my life now revolves around the needs of my baby boy, I had to change my way of cooking: 1. If he is awake I have no more than 18 min before he starts to call my attention. Then i play a bit with him and I distract him, so i can get another 12 min of freedom. Then i play a bit more, so I have another 7 min. Then he is in my arms and things go a little slower then :-)
2. If he is sleeping I can't make anything that involves a mixer/food processor/dishwasher cause his room is close to the kitchen and the noise will wake him up
So, with a big disappointment, I stopped to make cakes. It's too risky for now! But, on the other hand, I learned how to make a good dinner in no time and how to cook with hundred ...
