Step 1:
Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cornstarch, and kosher salt in a large bowl and whisk until well incorporated; set aside.

Add butter, brown sugar, and white sugar to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment. Mix on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
