Strawberry Gin and Tonic
Strawberry Gin and Tonic is a wonderful Spring cocktail with a gorgeous red color. As much as I love a regular Gin and Tonic, I have to say I love a Strawberry Gin and Tonic even more.
And they are super easy to make! A Gin and Tonic is such a refreshing cocktail and it is even more refreshing with fresh strawberries added. The flavor of strawberries and gin are perfect together.
Make A Strawberry Syrup
You’ll start by making a strawberry syrup. This can be done several days in advance and it will keep in the refrigerator for up to a week.
To make the strawberry syrup, combine two cups of chopped strawberries (the fresher and riper, the better) in a small saucepan with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and 1/2 cup of water. Simmer for 10 minutes. Let cool some and then pour the mixture into a fine-meshed strainer set over a large glass measuring cup or a bowl. Press on the strawberries with the back of a spoon, extracting as much liquid as you can out of them.

My favorite brand of gin for Gin and Tonic is Tanquerey, a dry London Gin that has a wonderfully dry, crisp taste. Other great gins for a gin and tonic are Hendrick’s Gin and Bombay Sapphire.
For tonic water, I like to use Fever-Tree Tonic Water but any tonic water will work.
