Spicy Boiled Peanut Hummus is a southern twist on traditional hummus made with spicy boiled peanuts. This is hands down my favorite hummus recipe. If you’re a fan of boiled peanuts, get ready to do a happy dance. This hummus totally tastes like boiled peanuts. Pair it with a cold beer and some sweet potato chips and you are ready for some summer entertaining!

I’ve eaten Boiled Peanut Hummus in a few restaurants and I finally got around to making my own.
Boiled peanuts have a creamy texture so they lend themselves perfectly to this creamy dip. You can either make your own Spicy Boiled Peanuts or get some from a gas station or roadside stand that sells them.

 
This recipe is super easy except you have to shell ALOT of boiled peanuts. But that’s the hardest part. Actually the hardest part is trying not to pop each one in your mouth as you shell them.  

 
For this Spicy Boiled Peanut Hummus I only added lemon juice and tahini. I really wanted the flavor of the boiled peanuts to shine through. Instead of using the typical olive oil, I decided why not stick with the peanut theme so I used peanut oil. It was a good choice.
Everything gets blended in a food processor until really smooth. In just a few minutes you have a hummus that is so creamy and full of boiled peanut flavor!
