Hello, friends, I’m back! Thanks for sticking around while I’ve been absent from my blog and social media for weeks. I’ve been incredibly busy with my new(ish) job and moving to a new place. It feels like Matt and I have been packing and unpacking and decorating and rearranging and building furniture for weeks. (By “building furniture” I mean I read IKEA instructions and he does all the work.)
We’ve been living in our new apartment for two weeks already and I finally got the kitchen ready to make Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. This is a very simple but ultra delicious recipe. It’s a riff on a classic bolognese, but without the long wait time nor the long list of ingredients.

I made this in honor of Father’s Day. My dad is in the Philippines so we’re only celebrating via Facetime today, but if we were together in person, I know he would love this meal. Rich and meaty, with some smokiness from bacon, and only gets better over time. It’s easy, a true classic, and loved by everyone. Just like my dad.
