Dish of the Week | Chocolate Bread Pudding from Henrietta’s Table
This is no ordinary bread pudding from Henrietta’s Table. This is their signature Chocolate Bread Pudding with Rum Caramelized Bananas and Vanilla Ice Cream. Â Read that again slowly and salivate. Softest bread with a deep dark chocolate flavor, tender and warm, served with sweet rummy bananas. It’s so good that I sometimes think I don’t need the ice cream, but before I can finish that thought I’ve already spooned a bite of the perfectly cold accompaniment to this classic dessert.
I’ve been going to Henrietta’s Table in Harvard Square for over a decade, and I don’t even like bread pudding, but this is one dish that I can never resist. Whether you’re sitting at the bar (might as well order some housemade parmesan truffle chips), or you’re at the farm-chic dining room for brunch (bonus: this bread pudding is served as part of the Sunday brunch buffet) or for dinner, please make sure to save room for this chocolate bread pudding.
