Bourbon and Coke Glazed Ham
Bourbon and Coke Glazed Ham is one of the most delicious hams you will ever eat and is perfect for Easter. This ham has so much great southern flavor.
First the ham is placed in a large pot with an onion and lots of Coca Cola. It’s simmered for about an hour and the coke helps tenderize it and flavor it. Since the ham is already cooked and it’s pretty much brought up to temperature at this point, you only need to bake it for about 20 minutes which is great for holidays when oven space is precious.
Note: You can use either bone-in or boneless ham. I meant to get one that was pre-sliced, but didn’t. Whoops! So either pre-sliced or unsliced works.
A deliciously sweet glaze of bourbon, dark brown sugar, Dijon mustard, cayenne pepper, and black pepper gives this Bourbon and Coke Ham a wonderful finish.
