Review: The KitchenAid Artisan Mini
My trusty KitchenAid mixer is 40+ years old (on right side in photo below), a hand me down from my mom. Shipped from the United States, it hews to that country?s voltage system, so I?ve got to plug its 110 volts into a transformer to adjust to the Philippines? 220 volts. As far as I know, it?s only been serviced once in all its years of existence, which speaks to the outstanding durability and reliability of this brand.

Handsome these mixers are but HEAVY, so it?s a delightful surprise when I cast eyes on the new KitchenAid Artisan Mini. Mini but mighty is how I?d describe this new line of stand mixer. Compared to the classic model, it?s 20% smaller, needing just 96 square inches of counter space than the regular models that require 132 square inches.
The Mini is also 25% lighter, 10 to 15 pounds less in weight than the larger models. Clearly, a new generation of mixers designed for those who want to do more with less space. In addition, the mixers are compatible with almost every KitchenAid attachment such as the Citrus Juicer, Spiralizer, Food Processor, etc.
